The Desktop Support Technician will assist the technical support personnel with all IT equipment, software, and services in multi-campus environment utilized by faculty, staff and students.
Assists with the operation of a central Information Technology Help Desk Center by providing second-tier support for user requests initiated by telephone, walk-ins, e-mail, online enterprise messaging and Help Desk management systems; to include maintaining and updating repair and inventory records.
Installs, tests and supports desktop devices and software applications utilized by faculty, staff and students at multiple campus and off-site locations.
Provides customer service and education to faculty and staff in the evaluation, operation and problem solving of information technology resources.
Provides remote assistance to the smart technology, network and server divisions as needed to minimize critical infrastructure service interruptions.
Commensurate with education and experience.
Associate degree and (1) year related work experience.
Bachelor's degree and (2) years’ experience in higher education. Strong supervisory skills are required. Experience with technology, tutoring, and administrative office skills.
