HGTC is seeking an experienced Enterprise Systems Administrator to provide enterprise level support for all college-wide systems, which includes the physical infrastructure, virtual environments, and the security of these systems. Work directly with vendors in order to provide best practices to provide a stable and secure environment.
Follows and supports the life cycle regarding enterprise-level systems, which includes the following: On-premises and remote Active Directory, Exchange Online, VMWare, SAN Storage systems, blade server systems, Office 365 applications, disaster and recovery, and server level operating systems (Windows and Linux).
Assists in developing technical documentation and communications along with assisting units with information security risk assessments. Works with customers and management to identify, select, and implement technical control. Assists with information security training and awareness programs.
Monitors and supports the college's Datacenter that secures our enterprise-level cloud and on premises server and storage infrastructures; analyze systems and application logs, utilization and performance; and provide reports and suggestions for environment improvements for the purpose of ensuring data security and availability of services to authorized users.
Provides mid to high level troubleshooting and assistance to all cloud and on premises servers and storage infrastructures, server resources and technologies; to include responding to Help Desk requests from users in academic and administrative areas.
Supports the design, testing, implementation, and administration while maintaining procedures for server and file level backup and recovery, server and appliance upgrades and software/firmware upgrades.
Assists in researching new technologies and performs other related duties as may be assigned.
