HGTC is seeking a Student Engagement Coordinator to assist the Director of Student Engagement with daily tasks such as planning, implementing, and facilitating events &\; initiatives on each campus, organizing monthly Student Engagement Hours.
Enhance efforts to collaborate with academic departments and student organizations by serving as the secretary for the Student Engagement Fee Allocation Committee (SEFAC), and as a liaison for student organizations, assisting with funding and overseeing, as well as facilitating the development of new organizations.
Facilitate student involvement in Orientation by planning and developing EXPLORE (New Student Orientation) sessions on each campus, and working with other supporting departments to ensure accuracy and availability of NAVIGATE (Online Orientation).
Assist the Director of Student Engagement in planning and organizing annual large-scale, college-wide activities including Welcome Week, Commencement, &\; Scholars Garden Party.
Possess the ability to multitask, work independently, and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner. Proficient with technology, computers, and social media to complete tasks using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook and calendars, posting to various social media sites and managing multiple email accounts.
Work directly with multiple internal departments, as well as outside vendors, exhibiting customer service and professionalism at all times. Possess the ability to interact with a diverse student population to engage them in provided activities.
Organize and give campus tours on the Grand Strand campus along with help from the HGTC Student Ambassadors and the Recruitment team. Assist in training Student Ambassadors each semester.
