Job Description:

If you enjoy the art of cooking and would like to work in a life-changing educational environment, Horry-Georgetown Technical College invites you to share your passion with our students as an instructor in the Workforce Development and Continuing Education department.

Our instructors’ teaching responsibilities are as follows: course development, supply shopping, course preparation and end of class clean-up.  Administrative responsibilities include: administering and returning student evaluations and the timely and accurate submission of required paperwork related to instruction. 

Class meeting days and times are flexible and will be offered in various formats (on-line, face-to-face, or hybrid).  Horry-Georgetown Technical College has effectively transitioned individuals with limited or no teaching background into culinary educators. We provide ongoing training and the tools to guide you in conducting the curriculum as effectively as possible.

Advertised Salary:

Commensurate with education and experience.

Minimum Requirements:

Instructors should possess a variety of advanced culinary skills and some formal education. Experience teaching adult students is preferred but not required.
