Technology Solutions Department at Horry-Georgetown Technical College is seeking candidates for a Desktop Support Supervisor, I on the Conway Campus. The supervisor will be responsible for providing technical services and support for desktop devices, classroom technology and software applications for the Conway campus. The selected candidate will also supervise the day-to-day operations of the Conway campus Desktop Support Team, including assigning and reviewing work, monitoring performance, and developing staff. The Desktop Support Supervisor will work under the general supervision of the Director of End User Technologies. While this position offers the opportunity for hybrid work, the employee is required to maintain a 37.5-hour workweek in accordance with State Technical College System requirements and must work on-site as needed to support business operations and institutional needs.
$58,854 (Minimum)- $82,416(Midpoint)
A high school diploma and experience in computer operations or a related data processing field. An associate's degree or a bachelor's degree in a related field may be substituted for the required work experience. Must obtain CompTIA A+ certification within the first 12 months of employment.
Knowledge of computer operations and support activities, computer equipment, and data processing procedures. Working knowledge of personal computer hardware and software, printers, and related information technology devices. Ability to coordinate and schedule the work of others; establish and maintain effective working relationships with end customers, users, and Information Technology staff; troubleshoot problems and provide solutions; follow oral and written instructions; and communicate effectively. An active CompTIA A+ certification is required within the first 12 months of employment.
