Job Description:

Horry-Georgetown Technical College (HGTC) is a two -year community/technical college that offers more than 75 associate degree, diploma, and certificate programs for students who are either seeking quick entry into the workforce or desiring to transfer to a senior institution to pursue a bachelor’s degree. HGTC offers three convenient campus locations in South Carolina, including Myrtle Beach, Conway and Georgetown.

The Marketing division at Horry-Georgetown Technical College is seeking candidates for a Web Manager. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing, monitoring and improving the College public website and web services, consistence with the College's brand by overseeing overall design, content, visual standards, quality and accuracy of materials. The Web Manager must be well versed in the integration of suitable graphic and video formats for use on the web and must have a user-experience mindset and be able to think from a consumer's point of view. This position will report to the Director of Marketing. 

Advertised Salary:

$45,530(Minimum)- $64,885(Midpoint)

Minimum Requirements:

A bachelor's degree in communications, computer science, or a related field and experience in information technology. Related experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • A minimum of two years’ experience working with a Content Management Systems, experience using the Modern Campus Omni CMS is strongly preferred, other CMS experience will be considered.
  • Experience working with HTML, PHP, JavaScript, CSS, XML, and XSL (strongly preferred).
  • Experience with navigation and content for responsive sites (for mobile users)
  • Experience and knowledge of requirements of web accessibility compliance (minimum of WCAG 2.1).
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends and translate metrics into reports.
  • Expertise in Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook).
  • Cross-platform experience with Mac and PCs is preferred.
