Horry-Georgetown Technical College (HGTC) is a two -year community/technical college that offers more than 75 associate degree, diploma, and certificate programs for students who are either seeking quick entry into the workforce or desiring to transfer to a senior institution to pursue a bachelor’s degree. HGTC offers three convenient campus locations in South Carolina, including Myrtle Beach, Conway and Georgetown.
Horry-Georgetown Technical College Foundation is seeking applicants for a Philanthropic Administrative Assistant. The successful candidate will be required to work primarily at the Grand Strand campus location; with travel to other campus locations as required. This individual will report directly to the HGTC Foundation President & CEO and be responsible for the following duties (this list is not intended to be exhaustive).
- Performing a variety of comprehensive administrative functions for the Foundation including prospecting for leads, arranging meeting times and details, correspondence with donors, board members and colleagues.
- Maintains record keeping of donor solicitations and gift acknowledgements in donor software program.
- Provides leadership and management of all fundraising special events to include but not limited to securing sponsorships, solicitation of silent and live auction items, ticket sales, and developing all correspondence and solicitation letters for donors and vendors.
The ideal candidate must be versed in MS Office and knowledge of CRMs and Adobe is a plus. Must be outgoing and comfortable speaking with individuals in the community.

Minimum Requirements: |
HS diploma and relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services. Bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required work experience.

Preferred Qualifications: |
Ability to create letters/emails to be potential clients utilizing mail merge. Ability to manage multiple fundraising events throughout the year.
