Job Description:

Horry-Georgetown Technical College (HGTC) is a two -year community/technical college that offers more than 75 associate degree, diploma, and certificate programs for students who are either seeking quick entry into the workforce or desiring to transfer to a senior institution to pursue a bachelor’s degree. HGTC offers three convenient campus locations in South Carolina, including Myrtle Beach, Conway and Georgetown.

Horry-Georgetown Technical College is seeking a highly skilled, professional and detailed- oriented Executive Administrative Coordinator to support the Office of the President. This is a high-level professional position that plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of the College’s executive functions. The Executive Administrative Coordinator will directly support the President and work closely with senior leadership to manage communications, coordinate high-level meetings and events, prepare communications, and oversee a variety of administrative and strategic tasks. The selected candidate will be responsible for serving as a liaison to the Board of Trustees, and Cabinet and manages the executive office operations. The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. The selected candidate must have the ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion, and work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion. The Executive Administrative Coordinator will serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining to the Office of the President. 

Key Duties:

  • Provide high-level administrative support to the President, ensuring the smooth functioning of the office.
  • Manage the President's calendar, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel arrangements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring timely and professional communication.
  • Prepare and organize materials for meetings, presentations, and reports.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives and projects for the College.
  • Manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Coordinate executive-level meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and following up on action items.
  • Support the coordination and execution of College events and special projects as directed by the President.
  • Liaise with other senior administrators, faculty, and staff to facilitate smooth operations and communication.
  • Draft and proofread correspondence, reports, and other documents as needed.
  • Manage office related budgets and requisitions.
  • Manage reservations of college space for external organizations including contracts, fee collection and additional resources.
  • Work in tandem with co-administrative coordinator to ensure smooth operation.

Advertised Salary:

$46,655 (Minimum)- $66,488 (Midpoint)

Minimum Requirements:

A high school diploma and relevant experience in business management, public administration or administrative services. Bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required work experience. 

Preferred Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree and two (2) years relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services; or an associate degree and four (4) years of relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services. Executive level administrative support; critical thinking; excellent verbal and written communication; proficient use of technology.
