Job Description:

Horry-Georgetown Technical College (HGTC) is a two -year community/technical college that offers more than 75 associate degree, diploma, and certificate programs for students who are either seeking quick entry into the workforce or desiring to transfer to a senior institution to pursue a bachelor’s degree. HGTC offers three convenient campus locations in South Carolina, including Myrtle Beach, Conway and Georgetown.

Technology Solutions at Horry-Georgetown Technical College is seeking candidates for a IT Operations Manager. Technology Solutions is seeking a strategic, highly organized, and collaborative individual to provide operational, administrative, governance and communication leadership across the IT organization. 

This role will serve as the central point of contact for vendor management, procurement  processes, asset management, internal communications, policy lifecycle management, and cross-functional IT project support. The ideal candidate is expected to posses strong communication skills, process-driven, and a strategic thinker who thrives at the intersection of technology, operations, and organizational governance. 

Advertised Salary:

$79,600 (Minimum)- $111,500 (Midpoint)

Minimum Requirements:

A bachelor's degree in communications, business administration, information technology, mathematics, statistics, management information science or a related field and experience in telecommunications, data processing and/or information technology. Relevant experience may substitute for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of the principles and techniques of planning programs and work activities in an information technology environment. Ability to plan and supervise the implementation of short- and long-range information technology-based activities and objectives. Ability to plan, organize, direct, and review the work of technical personnel. Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with users, technical staff, management, vendors, and others. Knowledge of the needs and priorities of the agency.
