The Technology Solutions Department at Horry-Georgetown Technical College is seeking candidates for a Senior Systems Engineer. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing senior technical leadership and enterprise-level support for all college-wide information technology systems. This includes engineering, administering, and maintaining server and storage platforms, network infrastructure, and cybersecurity operations. The position ensures reliable, scalable, and secure technology services that support academic and administrative needs. The role emphasizes best practices in system architecture, cloud adoption, automation, and security frameworks. While this position offers the opportunity for hybrid work, the employee is required to maintain a 37.5-hour workweek in accordance with State Technical College System requirements and must work on-site as needed to support business operations and institutional needs.
$79,600 (Minimum)- $111,500(Midpoint)
A bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and experience in computer system development and modification. Relevant experience may be substituted for bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.
